Meet Qt in Lyons, December 2016
On December 1st, KDAB’s Kévin Ottens and David Faure co-hosted a one day Meet Qt in Lyons, with The Qt Company and Witekio. The event was booked out with 50 people attending, confirming the growing community of Qt users in France. Participants were given plenty of opportunities for questions throughout the day and much appreciated the expert answers. There was particularly lively interaction in the session where KDAB prompted enquiries for a 'Qt wish list’ going forward. KDAB’s Kévin Ottens gave a well-received talk on 2D and 3D graphical interfaces, introspection and profiling tools, which included Widgets, QtQuick, Qt 3D, and GammaRay. Visitors were able to check out our GammaRay demo, showing how to visualize the internal state of Qt Quick and Qt 3D and more. They were also treated to realistic 3D animations in physically based rendering (PBR*) which you can view again on our Qt 3D Dodge Viper demo.
