Software Excellence for Texas Instruments
Your partner to drive innovation in embedded systems
Texas Instruments chose KDAB as a recommended software partner due to our broad and deep expertise in software engineering across the embedded stack.
To help Texas Instruments demonstrate the technical abilities of their different hardware platforms, KDAB has created several demos using Qt, Flutter and Slint on top of Embedded Linux / Yocto. TI also called upon KDAB to find and mitigate the root cause of performance issues seen with the Chromium web engine on certain hardware and operating system combinations.
KDAB helps customers build their custom embedded devices on Texas Instruments hardware, from the operating system across the stack to middleware, applications and the user interface.
Explore why many Fortune 500 companies have trusted KDAB during the past 25 years.
Multi-screen demo for TI AM62 and AM62P built with Qt
TI’s new AM6x processors have scalable graphic capabilities, supporting single, double and triple displays. At Embedded World 2024, TI showed an example for such a multiple display application in factory automation. A potential use case was created where a supervisor needs to be able to access different aspects of assembly lines. With three displays, the primary display can show 3D graphics of the entire factory, a secondary display with analytics and edge AI, and a third display to control a robotic arm with smart HMI. TI’s AM6x family of devices can drive the three displays at full HD resolution.
You can download an image of the demo that starts up with single display support.
If you are interested in testing double or triple display support, please be aware that the implementation requires some explanation. Reach out to info@kdab.com for free support.
Flutter demo for TI AM62
To demonstrate the performance of Flutter on the TI AM62 platform, KDAB created a demo showing several features of Flutter, including fluent animated graphics showing the current CPU usage. Learn more about Flutter on TI hardware here or watch the video below.
